Shoppers will enjoy two hours free Christmas parking in all Pay and Display Parking areas in Greystones on each Saturday for the month of December.
This initiative to support local business was agreed by the Cathaoirleach and Members of Greystones Municipal District who are encouraging shoppers to avail of the free parking to shop locally and enjoy the range of services on offer in Greystones.
Wardens will be on duty to monitor and enforce illegal parking each Saturday.
Free parking is available in the car parks at South Beach, Trafalgar Road and La Touche Road throughout the year, every Saturday and throughout the town on Sundays.
There are 460 free parking spaces available in Greystones Park & Ride car park 365 days of the year.
Free parking daily between 9 am and 10 am and 15 minutes grace period is allowed on commencement of parking.
Cashless parking is available in Greystones using Parking Tag which allows motorists to park by phone and extend parking times without returning to the vehicle. Details available on www.parkingtag.ie, motorists can register online or on the Parking Tag mobile app.
