Set in the shadow of the famous Wicklow Mountains, Charlesland Golf Club was designed by one of Ireland’s most celebrated and prolific course designers, Eddie Hackett.

Charlesland has always been known as a challenging but fair test of golf, in a beautiful setting.

The course at just under 7,000 yards from the championship tees skirts the Irish Sea for the best part of the front nine and the home run is true parkland with many attractive and demanding holes where water comes into play on seven holes. From the back tees it can present a stern test for the low handicap golfer as wind is an ever-present factor and there are many tough par-4s with well-guarded greens. But with generous landing areas there are also good scoring opportunities on the par-5’s, and a variety of tees allows all golfers a fair and challenging playing experience.
