Dylan is a twenty year old singer/songwriter from Greystones who spends his days working in the local pharmacy earning money in order to release his music, pay for mixing, mastering, artwork, music videos, digital distribution and everything that goes with preparing a release.
Dylan’s eclectic taste in music makes his sound one that is very hard to pigeon hole. Drawing influence from great songwriters such as Paul McCartney, Lindsey Buckingham, Steve Earle and Tom Petty, his songs are lively and melodious and pack a punch. Combining clever melodies and a strong affection for the craft of songwriting, Dylan’s songs are sure to stand the test of time.
Dylan left college after one year in UCD studying international languages in order to focus solely on his music career. Writing songs is what he is most passionate about, but he has to overcome his anxiety when it comes to performing them, he says he is an insecure little show-off, a phrase he got from Francis Rossi of Status Quo, one of Dylan’s early influences.
Having performed his latest single on The Late Late show and having supported Christy Dignam and Joe Jewell of ASLAN twice this year, Dylan has announced his own headline gig in the prestigious Whale Theatre of Greystones. It is sure to be a great night.
