The Delgany Guild of Irish Countrywomen’s Association is delighted to present its latest project Greystones Yarnbomb 2019.

In the first two weeks of June, Greystones town will transform into a spectacular exhibition of yarnbombing – odds and ends of yarn, knitted, crocheted and sewn by ICA members to adorn trees and street furniture.
New and regular Greystones visitors will enjoy the delightfully surprising and fun pops of colour during their strolls at the harbour with Mr Beach Bear on the seafront modelling his new ensemble accompanied by a collection of octopuses!

Meridian Point Centre will be decorated with wonderfully handcrafted bunting and flowers. Of course, not forgetting Meridian’s own Mr Horse modelling his new outfit!

We have been overwhelmed with the support and encouragement received from Wicklow County Council, Greystones Tidy Towns and local business of our gorgeous town. Men’s Shed even offered their help with the loftier decorating! With your help promoting the event, we are confident we could not only reach but exceed our ambitious goal!

Our Charity of choice is Children’s Mental Health@ Temple Street Foundation (St. Francis Clinic). Any donations, big or small are much appreciated. Bucket collectors will be at the harbour and in Meridian Point Centre.
