Greystones Players are delighted to present Charles Dickens’ classic tale A Christmas Carol in this exciting new adaptation by Aideen Walton.
It is Christmas Eve in nineteenth-century Dublin city, but for the driven money lender Ebenezer Scrooge, business is paramount. For Scrooge, Christmas is just another day to add to his fortune, and he has no patience with those who want to celebrate the season. As the evening draws to a close, Scrooge is visited by the ghostly presence of his dead business partner Jacob Marley, who presents him with an ominous warning and heralds visits from three more spirits.
With Christmas spirit, music and magic at its heart, Dickens’ story is brought to life in this vivid stage re-imagining of the well-known tale.
Greystones Players’ previous productions – including Dancing at Lughnasa by Brian Friel, The Playboy of the Western World by J.M. Synge, Juno and the Paycock by Seán O’Casey and Harvey by Mary Chase – all sold out, so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment!
