Spendlove Café

Back to Cafes

Eat in or take out coffee house located on Greystones Harbour. Local family run business with friendly service offering gourmet tea & coffee, freshly baked homemade muffins, cakes and treats along with tasty ice cream cones. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area.

Be careful when you go into Spendlove to buy an ice cream: you might come out with a brand-new kitchen. The popular coffee shop and ice-cream parlour, on the new marina in Greystone doubles as a kitchen showroom.  “I’m told I’m the first kitchen company in Ireland to put a coffee shop into a kitchen showroom,” says owner Nigel Spendlove. “You literally sit at my display island and have your coffee.”

The shop is perfectly situated at the end of the cliff walk from Bray to Greystones, so walkers can stop in and grab a coffee, roasted by McCabe’s in Newtownmountkennedy, a homemade chocolate brownie with ice cream, or one of the ever-popular 99s. The shop also does milkshakes and a Sunday dessert of fresh strawberries or raspberries with ice cream.

Caffé Delle Stelle.

By | Cafes

Back to Cafes

There are plenty of reasons to love Caffé Delle Stelle. Firstly, there’s the coffee. Award-winning, don’t you know, voted as the home of Greystones’ Best Coffee 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018  by the good readers of the Greystones Guide.

Then there’s the food. Proper, wholesome meals straight from the kitchen, from your traditional fry to something far closer to the Mediterranean. All prepared on-site, and in sight.

Last, and by no means least, there’s the atmosphere. The defining menu item for most people when it comes to eating out, Caffé Delle Stelle has an atmosphere quite like any other cafe in Greystones.

You must try it to experience it.

Heralding a new chapter for the well known Delgany Inn, the Pigeon House is open for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.  Executive chef Brian brings with him his philosophy of using high quality, locally produced food creating exciting, seasonal menus. His style and that of his kitchen team can be described as honest, simple cooking which shows respect for natural flavours. If you combine this with friendly, efficient service from the front of house team we believe the Pigeon House has something to offer casual and gastronome diners alike.

In 2016 the Pigeon House was awarded a recommendation from The Michelin Guide and this has been retained to this day. We are proud of this recognition of our aim to provide a local eatery offering a distinctive dining experience to customers at a reasonable price. Recently the arrival of a traditional, Italian wood fired pizza oven has been well received and is proving to be hugely popular.
